My day began with you
I can feel you even before I am fully awake
Your touch reaches every inch of my legs
The sensitive lower part of my back
up my spine
to my neck and
slowly consuming my mind
How did I let it get this far
will I ever be free
of this prison
that is you?
I was happy
I was fun
I loved to take long walks
in the sun
I loved to run
and dance in
the pouring rain
man, I had so much fun.
But thats all over
it was a different life
one I day dream about
as I lay on this couch
Your my only company
and you wont let me forget it
even though you remind me
constantly that you
will always be
I will always feel alone
this is what you have
done to me
my life will never be
like it once was
full of life
laughter
walking running
and dancing
to music
just happy and carefree
the things in life I once loved
are just a fond memory
this is what you
stole from me
no going anywhere alone
you made sure
someone is always watching me
holding my hand
no more independent me
people
grow tired of this game you play
in all honesty
I hate this roller coaster life
I live with you
ready to give up on life
most days like this
so I tell myself
its not me
its you
Im so done with you
so I bid you farewell
I tell you to leave
and never come back
but who am I kidding
you wont  leave
you could never leave me
would never
so I just have to
continue and hope for the best
maybe
when I roll out of bed
as I tip toe out the  door
you  will forget me
for a day or two
and I can escape this prison
of pain
that is you
