All Used Up
The following poem was written for For Violet's " I want Cliche.. A terrible challenge" challenge.
How could you
cut me into a thousand pieces?
Your heart
as cold as ice.
I thought,
perhaps foolishly
that I might be able to shine
some light and melt that frozen heart
I was wrong, there's no
penetrating your heart of stone.
You shut me out
and put up walls
from which even Repunzel herself
would have no escape.
Don't bother letting
down
your hair.
I'm done being your door mat.
