Titmouse and Donkey; A SAD RELATIONSHIP SIMILE!
Titmouse and Donkey; A SAD RELATIONSHIP SIMILE!
As Valentine’s shall soon occur,
I choose to comment, my love, on our sad state of affairs.
Vows, promises made, now a blur with years of hate spurring
Love to almost hate, tears where the less we care!
I was in my very early twenties.
You were in your early thirties.
Present time of our relationship, I’d give only pennies.
In our Alpha you appeared not old and worth to me as gold.
A courtship of nine years.
What made you take the plunge? Fear?
Good times had resulting in many cheers.
Tried to say, “Goodbye,” Marriage, your wish you made clear.
The eve of our Wedding you staked your claim.
Property I was in your eyes as you maimed.
No response means my fault? No, I was in shock.
In motion that night you set a clock.
Even after that night,
And for a long time after,
There wasn’t anything for you I wouldn’t do with all my might.
Where has gone all our laughter?
You tied me up.
Poked me all about.
With your mouth my body you sucked.
No doubt you thought you could trot any route.
A glorious day to tell your spouse
He will soon be a father.
Except you were a louse,
Without any need, knew I was true, asked, “Whose is it?”
One thing or another.
Nothing I did or tried could change how you felt or acted.
First round of marriage counseling you played well rather,
Good behavior for a brief time you enacted.
ED creeps up.
You have less desire.
Selfish, because I desire sex. Same you! Yup!
Until mortality stares down. Again, you wish me to acquire.
My comfortable shoe,
Appears to you the meadow offers plenty.
No clue you get that I am about to spew.
Thoughts, I have, so many, many many.
If you only got this simile,
Not your thought, “What a cute odd couple!”
The sun shinning bright, seemingly.
Titmouse, smiles, reminds she can fly off. You seem puzzled.
Finality?
Our Future?
Love you some I do. Made promises to God. What duality!
I pray God can heal this marriage with his sutures.
