The Blues
I’ve been down some these days
But as sure as the sun will rise up
I’ll be back up again
It’s a guaranteed thing that this will end for me
Just to be replaced by some manic instability
I look for what I call the middle of the road
I’m happy when I’m travelling that straight line
But the ups and the downs are a part of me
It’s something we work on but all the work in the world
Won’t fix me all that well
I know that just like I know left and right
And it’s a heartache I feel
When I turn out the light
Since I don’t know what I will face in the morrow
So I’m filled with anxiety
And it always gets the best of me
So I wander around my home
Just wearing a path in the floor
It’s the bipolar blues and you don’t want to know the tune
It’s no fun for any to dance to
Take your pills be a good boy
Be a vegetable you boy
Can you tell that I like to complain
But as sure as the sun will rise up
I’ll be back up again
It’s a guaranteed thing that this will end for me
Just to be replaced by some manic instability
I look for what I call the middle of the road
I’m happy when I’m travelling that straight line
But the ups and the downs are a part of me
It’s something we work on but all the work in the world
Won’t fix me all that well
I know that just like I know left and right
And it’s a heartache I feel
When I turn out the light
Since I don’t know what I will face in the morrow
So I’m filled with anxiety
And it always gets the best of me
So I wander around my home
Just wearing a path in the floor
It’s the bipolar blues and you don’t want to know the tune
It’s no fun for any to dance to
Take your pills be a good boy
Be a vegetable you boy
Can you tell that I like to complain
