A Journey To You
The deep snow covers the ground.
My long journey has only begun,
To be with you is where I need to be.
To sit close by a fire, just you and me.
Making my way through the freezing cold,
Your face comes across my mind so bold.
So I keep on so strong,
The problem begins to prolong.
My body shivering in the blowing air,
The cold won’t let me bare.
I sit down by a willow tree,
I close my eyes and feel mind go free.
Your loving eyes stick in my mind,
Your words ever so kind.
My lips form a smile, in the snow I lay,
The cold and the ground slowly fades away.
I wake beside the one I love,
I look outside and watch the snow fall from above.
