Long Distance Relationships
The worst feeling is knowing you are alone,
having to talk to each other over the phone.
Not being able to hold you during the night,
not being able to see you during the light.
The loneliness wraps around me like a blanket and a chain,
Being so close yet so far away messes with my brain.
I would do anything to see you everyday,
anything to take your pain away.
At least I know you are in my heart,
no matter how far, how long, we will never be apart.

Some connections grow more magnified when you can only experience them without the rest... So we learn to listen intently to vocal ranges, changes, emotional advances, catching up and chances... The risk is real, the rewards are always in mind.

I wrote this because I connect with it on a personal level, even though it was over a phone, it was the most powerful and passionate relationship.
