Nostalgic Embers

There's a soft spot in my heart for the things forgotten.
The moments like embers,
flickering on long after the fire has gone out.
The 'Russian Roulette' memories triggered by songs, scents, or familiar old backroads of an aging hometown in the middle of a world that won't stop spinning.
I have a soft spot in my heart for the places I've been, the things that I've seen, and the people who've shared a fire with me.
