When Lightning Flies from Innocent Eyes (An Ode to Malala Yousafzai)

As lightning flies from innocent eyes
The fire flame for an ultimate desire
Never dies lame.
When it's touched by angel wings so white,
Though kissed by an Insurgent's bullet
So cold.
Brushed by Death's hand so black.

A silent voice,
Lost in the
White noise of
War
Fights back.

A message so powerful and stripped basic,
A voice stands singular and intrepid,
Unhindered by the events unbelievable.
The display of strength immeasurable.
Standing cloaked in the dress of a
Slain Leader.

A girl speaks to the
World,
Unafraid to make her point
Clearly made
...
Her scream could never be louder!

When lightning flies from innocent eyes
the World over takes notice of
Every tear she cries
As she pledges
Forgiveness
To those who apply the pain so commonly seen.

When lightning flies from innocent eyes
She will tell no lies!
