Positive - For All Those Suffering With Bad Stories

I haven’t written in so long, but, it’s 2016 and I’ll be 15 in a couple of weeks. There’s a lot going on but I’m glad that I wrote after all this time, especially on one of my worst days. Take care of yourselves out there.

I thought I washed you off my body,
but I guess dollar store soap isn't too strong.
I threw out the red bra too,
It was the only one that fit but,
I don’t like red anymore.

There was a boy I was talking to,
I thought you left me alone
But, every time he touched me
I didn't see his hands
I saw yours

I can’t hear songs of Summer
all because I replay that day
You had me so brainwashed
I only learnt the term for our encounter now
I can’t say it aloud
But we both know what it was.

I had a bath and soaked in stronger soap
I cried about my self, not my body, but my schoolwork
I wore a red shirt, the one with Google across the chest.
I took a couple nudes and my body was mine.

The test says positive.
Positive I won’t forget you.
Positive you won't break me.
Positive I’ll stay in school.
Positive I’ll be loved.
Positive I’ll be healthy.
Positive you were a story.
