Ravenous
The lucid hours of an inarticulate day,
crying out to your disarray,
bored and dead you stare away,
no friend to stay, I finally pray.
Missing you like the falling rain,
scour the stones on the crescent field,
it calls to you, like a weeping vane,
this rotting heart needs a shield.
Torn to shreds, as autumn dreads,
the cold bites on her naked breast,
bare it all, she will - for me,
the submission in her eyes, so serene.
The sweetest of poisons she is,
but how could a mortal man resist?
when everything’s fair in love and war,
does desire ever desist?
I bleed a drop for every time you leave,
you ignore me even though I’m all you see,
screams of your thirst aching in your head,
you can’t run from all that’s been said.
A frozen glare of nameless beauty,
shocking the wet of your sweat,
you’re in awe, this is what fills the hole,
your hunger, to feed off of my soul.
I am nothing but a forgotten rust,
if you turn away I will fall like dust,
rip me apart till there’s nothing left of me,
I belong to you, a slave till death’s ease.
crying out to your disarray,
bored and dead you stare away,
no friend to stay, I finally pray.
Missing you like the falling rain,
