You don't know
How can you say that I don't know what pain is
That I don't know what abuse is
How can you say you know my life when you have only seen my skin
And how can you say my life isn't bad and I don't deserve to feel hurt
And how would you know just how I feel in the middle of the night
When nobody is there to hear my cries
And you don't hear the spiteful words that fly into my ears
And do you even know how the words that you say hurt
How they leave footprints across my heart and scars across my mind
You do not feel the sharp breath in my lungs at every hurtful word
Do you taste the venom of every word that passes by your tongue
So do not say who deserves to feel hurt and who deserves to feel pain
for it is not you who decides what I feel
