Dearest Friend,

I came to you the hour I was in despair, Looking for answers, I cried in pain.                                      I shared many skeletons hiding in my heart. It was then I knew you'd be my friend. I knew it from the start.                     Troubles ran like river's, flowing thru my life. You picked up the pieces and helped me thru my strife.                  When home wasn't home to me no more, you unlocked your heart and handed over the key's. We cried past the night until dawn's first light.         We soothed each other's pain while sharing our many thorns.                                              As time flew, the air grew foggy. I saw our friendship dissipate, my stomach grew sick. The day had arrived, we should've said goodbye.               Now we sit, side by side as stranger's, our future, empty and silent.
