Highway
I’m so far from where you are
And I’m standing out on this empty highway,
one we’ve all been on before
I’m all alone, except for the people on
the sidewalks who never made it through.
But you never knew I left,
so you won’t notice
I never returned
I don’t need another goodbye, this memory
is the best I’ll ever have. So please don’t
ask me why, because this is the best regret I
never had.
