Princes and Princesses

 Just like how Mufasa cast his son's eyes on the land
Our fathers said "If you could see it you could rule it"
But we see the junkies and the whores
The piss stink and shit
We see that our mothers have strong wills
But royalty ridden tired eyes
Because the kingdom they got once upon a time
It was all lies
They said it was going to be great
They said it'd be grand but that just means big
Because all that we inherited was an army of shovels
A graveyard and the rite to dig
We're going to manage the drugs and how they move
We're going to rule the runaway fathers meeting talk show hosts
But the worst thing that we get when we get the keys of the kingdom
Is ownership of the ghosts
So it's a pass off
Not a hand-me-down
Those kind people in crooked castles gave birth
Just to get rid of the crown
Because they tried to sell their royalty
So the poor could eat for a day
But the sale would fund some hit-man or hooker or worse
Because money always finds a way
But if it makes you feel any better
We too called our owners fools
But we're starting to realise that our new found job
Is not to save you but to rule
Us princes and princesses
We have to force a hunger of dirt to knees
Because if you defy us and kneel before someone else
That's just going to be someone more murderous to appease
So just like how you prayed you were safer distance from the atrocities
Just like how you prayed you didn't go insane from what you had to observe
Get on your knees put your hands together and say that when royalty dies
Make sure that they go where they deserve
We are sorry
That us lesser evils are still nasty twisted things
