Eternity

As I drift through time I can see the beginning and the end
 
Where I once was, I am now neither here nor there
 
Universal mysteries and paradoxes become sound
 
If this is what the end looks like, life is but an obstacle
 
Traveling at the speed of light I suddenly stop...lost
 
What lasts but a fraction of a second..feels like an eternity
 
After the repose I am propelled into infinity once again
 
If only I can eternally remain
 
But she blinks once again and I’m back to my existence
 
Her smile brings me comfort, and she leaves with one final gaze
 
She carries away with her a piece of me
 
My Eternity...
