Age of Light

the age of darkness
starts to grow
when we believe
we think we know

when we believe
what we've been told
is the truth
from books of old -

the age of light
begins to shine
in ever now
through souls divine

sparkling auras
twinkling stars
from heart to heart
on Earth, on Mars -

in distant lands
in times long gone
in ever now
where all belong

spirits merged
and souls were grown,
the ancient ones
we've never known

are now revered as gods
whose words
through history
have flown like birds

'though tongues have changed
and meanings too
the only truth is
I love you -

the only truth is
all around
in feelings felt
in sight and sound

in meditation deep
set free from
who we're told
that we should be -

the age of darkness
is mind enthralled
the age of light
is where we're called

by every breath
the morning breeze
the evening light
before it leaves -

the age of light
it's glory shines
in always now
through souls divine

through you and me
when love flows through
from heart to heart
we're one not two
