The passing of Tovarich
The passing of a companion
To disrupt the concentration of thought
The abandonment of hate
Hours spent together, forget life's stupid standards
Oblivious to the lore beneath the skin
Helping in the battle of life or death
I failed to apply
Now my attempts have lost
Let em' go free, watch life flash
Don't regret nor ignore, a sacrificial life
Taken, swept off, careless humans murder my own
Stripped away from me, vital pumps dissolve
Life managed, forced, won't let go
Kept with machines, in peace death lurks nearby

Had to come back and read after the 1st time I read it. I'm unsure if this is a literal or figurative passing of a companion. Eitherway, I suppose it would be exactly the same. I really do enjoy when people show a good comand of he English vocabulary

I wrote this about five years ago after my first poem for English class. My teacher suggested I keep writing because she thought I was good at it. I honestly don't recall if someone did pass away or it was a hypothetical situation I wrote about.
