There's Beauty in the Breaking
My throat stiffens up,
overwhelming clench feeling,
my eyes are starting to water up,
"I will not accept your help mom.."
My voice cracked,
I felt a tear roll down my cheek..
My mom looked so hurt..
My grandma looked at me with such agony..
I feel so broken..
I can't seem to be able to take care of myself..
Always failing, always messing up..
Constantly receiving messages on social media from people just silently slicing me open..
The wounds.. there so deep.
Those words, they cut so deep.
So painless.. yet so painful.
Everyday, I have to promise myself that it'll be okay..
Forcing a smile to hide the hurt.
Just another broken girl..
Shattered upon the ashes.
overwhelming clench feeling,
my eyes are starting to water up,
"I will not accept your help mom.."
My voice cracked,
I felt a tear roll down my cheek..

My grandma looked at me with such agony..
