I saw you walk down the path
out of my heart and life
couldn't help but watch in silence
when you looked back
thought for sure you had changed your mind.....

realized you didn't looking into your eyes

as you stood there in a daze
that's when I saw tears
hanging onto your lashes
afraid to roll down your cheek
cause that would be........

letting go of you and me

tried so hard to be your friend
yet you turn the other way when I appear
invisible I am these days it seems
becoming aware this friendship has faded
