No Better You than You

Everyday my mind makes war of whether the sun reflects in your  eyes
Or if it is the sun that shines because of your hazelnut stare,
But even when I glare in awe you still don't feel it at all,
Not even when you stand tall.
When you smile it is as assured as the sun will rise that it brings of the most joy
To anyone, even to an inanimate boy,
So coy it lets me know it's not a ruse
But you may think I say that to amuse.
It is as true as your laugh gives me happiness for the day
And it is only your sight that lets me sleep for the night.
It is your own curiosity that peaks mine,
It loops around and just to show me you are my good wine.
Although no matter when I got to you
Somebody else got to you first,
And it has shown to be your worst.
So every time you look into a vanity mirror
You think; less and less prettier.
I’m here to say, put on your glasses,
It will make it much clearer.
Not only is your complexion nearest to perfection
It is your personality that shows your true reality.
Only rivaled with the words you speak.
Your thoughts not lead by your own
Those negative thoughts deep down your bones
All fallacies giving you false mentalities,
They’re misconceptions leading you into the wrong direction.
When I exchange thoughts with you
It's as though as it has stopped time,
But the opportunity cost is no simple crime.
Your care shows it knows of despair,
It shows a history of open tears.
If your burdens are too hefty,
I'll share your fines,
If your story too long,
I'll read between your lines.
If society's humble advice is only that you won't get by alone
I will take action and become your stepping stone.
