The Composer

I will play a song at your request
I will take a bow, after a failed test
In the moment, that note seemed right
Though perfect vision, I have no sight
I play by ear, an instrumental
and my version, sentimental
You could only focus, on words unspoken
And silence the notes, of my heart's devotion
A Sonata, I composed
In the moonlight, amongst the rose
Such an indulgent scent even before it blooms
And at it's prime could be confused
Mistaken to be, fully mature and complete
It's petals smell so sweet
But fall too fast
Up-rooted rose bushes never last
Like the requested song
Whose note, was completely wrong
The complexity, the test entailed
Through clarity, my sight still failed
I promise you, I read the music
had it been better, played Acoustic?
The Orchestra, lyrics without
Sentiments, I refuse to shout
Unspoken, my words remain
Loud are the notes, of my heart's pain
A Sonata, traded for a simple composition
It matters not, my disposition
The scent, through intoxication
yet not enough, for gratification
Immature and incomplete
Exam is over, Please retreat
