On the way down
When I ride an elevator...
On the way down...
I remember the way your voice cracked
Just a little bit.
As you whispered in my ear.
All the things you wanted to do
In that confined space
Before you proceeded to take me
In that moment..
The way your fingers danced a long
the contours of my face
Pulling me to meet you there
Motion within motion
The taste of your kiss
The way it felt when the gravity changed
When you pushed me against the wall
The hunger in your eyes
Undressing me with your stare
Then your hands
As you spoke to me in music
That only I could hear..
Playing me a symphony
With your tongue...
In G major..
On that spot no one else
Could ever reach
And, I fell from grace
above your hand
As the doors opened
just in time
to keep your secret safe...
I remember the way you smiled
On your way out...
And, I wonder if he makes you smile
the way you did
The night before your wedding day.
or if it was just too much wine...
After dinner...
After a while it all tastes the same anyway.
On the way down...
I remember the way your voice cracked
Just a little bit.
As you whispered in my ear.
All the things you wanted to do
In that confined space
Before you proceeded to take me
In that moment..
The way your fingers danced a long
the contours of my face
Pulling me to meet you there
Motion within motion
The taste of your kiss
The way it felt when the gravity changed
When you pushed me against the wall
The hunger in your eyes
Undressing me with your stare
