The new me

This new life I chose
I've gained my trust ,
Got rid of my foes
And that was a must ~
Earned my respect
I've made new friends ,
No longer in neglect
They'll be with me to the end ~
Full of persistence,
My mind is back ,
I see the beauty in existence
I'm no longer black ~
I wake up with a smile
And it glows,
I was down for a while
And everybody knows ~
I've faced my demons
And I conquered them ,
Now I know my reason
I'm free till the end ~
No more rejection
And boy it feels good ,
A lot of misconception
But now I'm understood ~
This new journey
I would never trade ,
Vision no longer blurry
No longer in the shade ~
