Feel something

 Wake up! Feel something! Anything, for anyone!
A distant voice echoed across the horizon
The sky was a boring shade of beige
Absent of clouds, absent of beauty
Absent of hope
Wake up!  Feel something!  Feel with your eyes
See with your heart
This voice was not my own, but brought
A flash of violent white light
A visual of color exploding like a supernova
Giving birth to the sky
As silver tears rained down from the heavens
I dreamt I'd find you under the departed sun
My perfect dark, shining bright
In a moment where stars collide with sleepless dream
Peeling me apart at the seams
Where I feel it in my bones, igniting a spark
Within the very core of my being
Gazing into the constellations in your eyes
That set my soul aflame...  
My frozen heart beats once more
Like the carbon in my lungs
Everything I've ever known evaporates
With the departed sun,  I too
Will arrive with tomorrow's new dawn
Feeling the absent rays once more
Mourning the dead dreamer
Writing a eulogy of myself
Contemplating the world
All the anything's
And, everyone.  
While desperately searching
For apathy again
