Use Me
Have you ever been alone,
And felt so without purpose
And so without purchase on this earth,
For so utterly long as I,
That you've begun to wonder
Whether being used indeed
Is the worst existence, after all?
Have you ever thought that,
Perhaps, one may be happier,
At least in the heat of those moments,
And that such joys,
Fleeting though they may be,
Are worth having, even needed,
When all other lights grow dim?
And felt so without purpose
And so without purchase on this earth,
For so utterly long as I,
That you've begun to wonder
Whether being used indeed
Is the worst existence, after all?
Have you ever thought that,
Perhaps, one may be happier,
At least in the heat of those moments,
And that such joys,
Fleeting though they may be,
Are worth having, even needed,
When all other lights grow dim?
