A Billion Reasons To Fly
"No Man Is An Island" poem title by John Donne
Alone
Atop a pyramid
The beating heart in the empire of my likeness
Below
All these ants suckle the blood from my teats
Adoring drones in awe of what I am
The sculpt of these muscles
Rivers of artful ridges that edge out this high performance body
Shooting a star representing the childish dreams of a city
I battle and bleed
Tonight you just may have a front row seat to see my knee blown out
Wading into war waged on grid iron
Head on a swivel
It only takes a few seconds
To become the fountain spitting out your own teeth
This is what I have become
Physical conditioning laced with fine science
Human
Morphing
Into
A
Sleek
Beautiful
Beast
