she is so close
yet a solar system away
attracted by the allure of her atoms,
a supernova
in a galaxy of asterisks
the only opinion of significance
in the cacophonous cosmos
a mighty lioness
concealing a wounded kitten
covetous for her to ride inside my comet
to my citadel of love...

DeanD, I like your poem very much, a supernova in a galaxy of asterisks...so flattering, and very creative! A mighty lioness concealing a wounded kitten; makes me wonder how many women this resonates with. Lovely imagery.

thank you very much LULU, i traveled outside my comfort zone of rhyming poetry, yeah i've know a few women who were "mighty as a lioness, concealing a wounded kitten'"
