That merry night

One summers night during the
summer Solstice, I called for the
Goddess under the full moon; it
was misting just enough to make
the grass look like glass under my
feet.

I danced and sang all to
Honor the Goddess on this
one beautiful summers night,

The Goddess came and
danced around the fire
with me; she ate and drank
wine with me and spoke magick
and peace,

Once it was all over I
went home to sleep.
It was one of the most
peaceful nights i can
remember having in all my life.

I awoke in the morning as
the sun rose over the hills:
the light softly danced on my
face and brought me to the
new day. I felt light;
almost as if I was light as a
feather. I got up and went outside
to thank the Goddess for a new day.

The day was bright; dew still on
the ground. Everything was different.
The hills looked as if they grew into
mountains; the grass as high as trees;
a dragonfly flew over head and had
wings as big as an eagle. What was this;
a dream or maybe to much wine the
night before.

As I walked I came to a puddle it
looked like a rushing river. I looked
at my reflection and I too had changed.
I was small; maybe as big as your thumb.
My house no longer a house, but a toad stool,
what was this a joke?

As I sat there I called to the Goddess:
" Oh great mother of the Earth, life,
and love. Please tell me what I have become."

At that I hear merry music playing, sounded like
a great party or feast. I go around my house
and see a village of merry Fairy folk playing
pan flutes; dancing and singing. This must be
a dream I say to my self.

" No my child" says a voice from behind me,
I turned to see a beautiful woman covered
in a light, " I am the mother of love and light."
I saw how you became one with the Earth, so
I made you into one of my guardians:
A Fairy; they keep the Earth beautiful and
take care of all the plants and animals."
I was very much surprised but pleased
as well. " Go and celebrate with the others."
She said with a smile.

I went down to the celebration and
was welcomed as if I was family.
I saw Fairy's dancing along side
of a man. He was half man half
goat; he played a flute and let
everyone dance. Who is that I
asked a small sprout, that there
is Pan the God of desire. He's
always around when we have a party
or celebration. I celebrated the Goddess
and had a merry time. I thanked the
Goddess for letting me be part of her world.
We danced and sang till the moon and stars
covered the sky. We said our good nights
and to our beds we went.

In the morning I awoke to find out it was all
a dream, I went outside and thanked the
mother for letting me be part of her world
even if it was for a moment. You see if
you ask the Goddess with a pure heart
and a pure mind, she will show you things the
world calls a myth. But if you live in a world of
magick and beauty you know it all exists.
