I love the little things you do
like this happiness I feel inside
you have it bottled up ready
uncorking the smiles
the fun and laughter
just when I need a boost.
Not knowing when that next kiss
Will arrive
but I know it will
as my surprise stays vivid
long after my breath catches me
when your lips do reach out for mine
Not knowing when my hand will be taken
but I know it will
those subtle squeezes
the reassurance I have come to admire in you
as we go about our day
Not knowing when you will tell me
how much you love me,
but I know you will
often
with whispers created for just me in mind.
Not knowing when my next thought of you
will arrive
but it will

with the assured signage reading at peace
