LEDGE TO NOWHERE

Standing on the ledge to nowhere, thinking of life, death, regret and penance.                                  Standing on the ledge to nowhere, lookin down,  a terrifying chill races thru me.                                          Standing on the ledge to nowhere, looking up, storm clouds chasing away warmth and sun.                                   Standing on the ledge to nowhere, fallen angels  mercilessly raise my arms into wings.                      Standing on the ledge to  nowhere, fallen angels guide my feet off the ledge to nowhere.                  Tumbling, life, death, regret and penance, racing and chasing thru me.                                        Pavement shuddering on impact, eyes open, looking around, fallen angels sing their choir.                       I'm alive, what the hell? But as I look down, a tear falls, twisted, bloody and broken, no not alive.           Standing on the ledge to nowhere, cold, dank darkness envelopes me, with horrifying regret, penance claims her prize.
