As kids we were terrified of the dark but now we hide from the day light
We used to live happily together pure by the default of our not knowing
But the filth consumes
The days spent playing turn into drunken nights
Friends become strangers and family is forgotten
We unknowingly embrace our undoing
Dead before we ever leave this place
