8 bars (Ravenous)

I've tried to use my words to keep followers on edge, never took the time to stop/tattooed over my wrist with an hourglass and switched sides with my watch/ as the sand drained, I still remained, King of the clock/ 'cause the moment has always been on my side ever since I grew up on the block/ I siezed it, carpe diem, standing on my desk like O' Captain, my Captain/ celebrating the day like it was my last, so I mixed it with rum and wiped the glass ring with a napkin/ 'cause I don't want stains on my table/ and I'm so hungry for success I could eat a cash cow, or a horse from the stable/
