packing up

 
take it
put it in a pretty frame
and pack it
away
in the back of the crawl space
til the wood bleeds dust to the touch
and the bones
show through

i'll do the same
put it into a poem
and file it
away
til it's buried
irretrievably
between pages of pomp
and the ink
fades out
