Delusion

Why do I keep trying to make it?
Life keeps crumbling in my hands.
I just don't think I can take it.
Like Lucy tricking Charlie with the ball,
Life sets me up for fall after fall.
If insanity is doing the same thing,
while you truly expect different results.
Then, I must be crazy to go on...
thinking that things will change.
I have had an epiphany or sorts;
a new revelation if you please.
It's time to cross out of the dream into reality.
Nothing changes. No one really cares.
I am abandoning the chains of hope mingled with confusion.
It's time to be emancipated from my personal delusion.
