Right Here

There is no one in the graves or the churches
Bodies that once fought for life,
succumbed to nourishment for the earth

There is no one to talk to in the graves or the churches
We are not sequestered to cemetaries or cathedrals upon death.
Except for idolization

There are no thoughts in the graves or the churches
With the exception of the lost
Wondering if their prayers are accepted, but probably not.

There is no spirit in the graves or the churches
They have left and disseminated throughout
Leaving cold stone remains

There is no feelings in the graves or the churches
Nothing to unite or harmonize our touch
No hearts beat.

There is no god in the graves or the churches
No savior or angel to walk you through it.
You are alone.

There is no death in the graves or the churches
There are footprints of the living
Leaving their trails of calcified tears

I love you.
