Loving you

Never question my beating heart
Or why it yearns for you,
Remember only that I'm lonely
Have been from the start.

You came along and it all changed
My life, my world, my soul,
But it was short and infantesimal
It left me quite deranged.

The madness took me and I fell
Onto the Devils road,
Just to raise myself again from
Dantes burning hell.

I could never have the one I want
Nor could I survive,
I'd never drink a drop at all from
Your loves' holy font.

So now you take me for a dupe
And think I will return,
But I see now just how you were
And just how far you'd stoop.

I'll leave, depart, and bid adieu
From this mortal coil,
But I am lost because in all
I can't stop loving you.
