Melanin Blues

she was my beauty queen black girl
my sweet ’n tasty dark chocolate girl
with gorgeous brown eyes to woo me
and luscious pink lips that coo me
cocoa skin erotic hues of pheomelanin
pretty jet black hair bonded with eumelanin

her beautiful mind filled with splendid sagaciousness
left me transfixed, amazed at her vivd acuteness
her passionate words synthesized melanosome protractors
as our pores became soaked in melanocyte vernacular

her body was ravishing unlike anyone you’ve ever seen
coated in cutaneous melanin a natural sunscreen
her physique, a melanin conglomerate, solid as a rock
curves unmatched, descendants of Venus Hottentot
I am obsessed with replenishing her vitamin D deficiency
my beautiful darkie, a mouthful of saccharin modality

maybe in time another melanin love like hers I’ll find
black love frequencies resonating together audaciously in time
dark n’ lovely filaments rooted deeply in midnight blue shades of keratin
the molecular state of my emotions are raucously saddening
distressed and longing, yearning, my heart’s aching

for my
afro wearing
neck swerving
finger waving
hips swaying
breast cajoling
sweet talking
caribbean whining
ATL twerking
smarter than life
uncontested loving
melanated black girl

what am I to do
awaiting her arrival to rid myself of my melanin blues
