I am Sorry

I am but a man,
A mere mortal man.
I have my ups and my downs,
My forwards and turnarounds.

I may be goofy.
I may not be that cool.
I may not make sense,
I might even act a fool.

Among these faults,
there is but another.
I make mistakes
just like any other.

What I did was foolish,
I hate what I put you through.
Sorry is just too simple,
But I’m at a loss for what to do.
 
I am not making excuses,
I’m just trying to plea.
That you will realize I’m sorry,
And to please…please forgive me.
