Things I Thought I Will Never Miss.
When you left me standing at the door
Holding to the delicate scent of your goodbye kiss
Alone I felt, although I promised never to be
Your image, gentle in my mind made me gay
The things I thought I will never miss.
Like an eagle up in the silky sky
I fly in search for another like you
I miss your dove like eyes
That used to watch me work
I miss that innocent smile
That used to make my mornings relevant
The feeling of your warm hands in our evening walks
Brought memories of our warm love
When I found myself walking alone
The food that made my taste buds
Dance to the tune of your cooking.
Dear, the things I thought I will never miss
Now in my alone time they haunt me.
Holding to the delicate scent of your goodbye kiss
Alone I felt, although I promised never to be
Your image, gentle in my mind made me gay
The things I thought I will never miss.
Like an eagle up in the silky sky
I fly in search for another like you
I miss your dove like eyes
That used to watch me work
I miss that innocent smile
That used to make my mornings relevant
The feeling of your warm hands in our evening walks
Brought memories of our warm love
When I found myself walking alone
The food that made my taste buds
Dance to the tune of your cooking.
Dear, the things I thought I will never miss
Now in my alone time they haunt me.
