A cold day and a cold thought
In such a happy time
Or perhaps a happenstance time for many
Or most
I feel no joy in the day gone by
Or the ones to follow
But I remain here and wonder
If I am unable to feel the happiness of others
When I am one of the others
Am I just cold and distant?
Or is the distance between us what makes me cold?
