Unknown Star
She was standing in the streets
Under a spotlight
She wasn't exactly a star
But as cars drive by
Painful lights flash before her eyes
Making her remember chills
Caused from the touch of a man
That helped give her life
High off everything
Drunk and confused
He came into her room
Not as her father
But a lost man
Who smelled of lust and booze
Coming back from the past
Into the present
She thought of how different paths changed
Her future and what she was destined
Her life not being exactly the greatest
She has no house to live in
Her home is in the arms of strange men
They drug her with their illusions of love
Sending her on her way when they're done
Not caring if they messed up
Caution wasn't taken
So that leaves life in her
... Temporarily at the most
Her career requires
For her legs to stay open
And her mind forever closed
Seeing no way out
A luxury car that she could never afford
Stops in front of her
She crawls in knowing her destiny
It takes her down a road
With no return
Under a spotlight
She wasn't exactly a star
But as cars drive by
Painful lights flash before her eyes
Making her remember chills
Caused from the touch of a man
That helped give her life
High off everything
Drunk and confused
He came into her room
Not as her father
But a lost man
Who smelled of lust and booze
Coming back from the past
Into the present
