THE CRAVING

She stood alone.
Silent as the moon.
Her heart racing,
as the full horror began to sink in.
How was it possible?
Her eyes glazed.
She couldn't move.
Suddenly, she began to shake.
Blood was everywhere.
How could this have happened?
Then she remembered.
The midwife had said that
"some women even eat raw meat."
