the king and jester and the sweet treasure
once was a jester and his glittering treasure
it brought him such pleasure
you could tell in every gesture
he did not even pay mind to the hecklers
because of his sweet treasure his lovely gems
but would his lovely gem be the end of him?
for his lust of gems got the best of him
and he stole them form the king and his men
the king had his men burning down the town
all around them
killing those who they are sworn to protect
the jester seeing what was happening
to his home to his family his friends
he stepped out in front of the king
it Tis i ! he yelled holding a gem in his hand
as the kings eye found the gem they filled with rage
How dare! thee!?! his voice boomed
thy dare steal from Me?
tremors ran down his body
thou art a flesh monger a fool and a coward spat the king
i! shall! Take! you're! head!!! yelled the king.
the next day the king sat on his throne with a gem
the jesters head rest on the cutting block
a man with an axe above him his eyes resting on the king
the king said nothing just watched
the jester and kings eyes met the kings
fingers went around the gem laying in his lap
any last words fool? spat the king
the jester just smiled and said thou as loathsome as a toad
the king jumped from his throne
OFF!! WITH!! HIS!! HEAD!! he shrieked
the man with an axe turned and swung up above his head
a fool in my thought'a fool in my eye'a fool in my mind'what fool? Tis i the jester last said and then off with his head!
