I wish I could hold you
against the warmth
my bare chest
to wrap you in my arms
and squeeze while the giggles leak out

The stars that twinkle upon your face
come in shapes as squares
shinning gold and silver
I wish on all your stars
give me a time
to touch these heavenly bodies
that rest on yours

I dream of caressing
cheeks exuding
blush and glitter
I’ll wish my night away
till my dreams steal me
only to dream of wishes

Soon I’ll fulfill
we’ll wish no more
my Princess will have her castle
and I will hold her dear to me
against that part of my heart
that at first feels cold
but really
it’s a burning star
belonging only to one
