staring at her
with unruly eyes
those words
parting his lips
she watches with dull enthusiasm,
they slip into the air
he seems appalled at her callousness
he expects her to be moved
by such presumptuousness
his thoughts a steady stream of unfinished
business, in his own mind
he has given her every chance
to change her mind
to not even tell him the same
will be ok, for now
even suggesting
she should come to her senses
she stares through his bullshit
and walks away...
