AA

I never could swim.
So, i concluded to drown my sorrows
In a pint of bitter,
Numb their emotional screams and
Allow their bruised lungs to become saturated in
Spirits
Something they had always lacked
Echoes utter a vibration in the glass; press rewind

The pit
The rose
The silent tears
That noisily stroked your cheek,
Then slipped from a glazed expression
Into the bottom of a bottle.

Too late to call the AA?
Trust me
This vehicle is beyond repair.

I’ll have another: make it a double.
