From What Perspective?

To enjoy a rose and not harm the vitality
the living organism in full bloom
to touch but not to break
enter but not to despoil  
a root system proceeded my presence
and full confidence in disclosure not ours yet
irregardless sustaining strength to make it this far
my stokes gentle and not condescending
impossible not to remove my naughty designs
but not to the point of dislodging my humanity
for the continuation of any sexual design
must be accepted by both
and the knowledge that roses have thorns
that can be summoned when a wrong is perceived
any suggestive deed not linked to destructive intent
but rather the pent up energy that has been closeted so long
finding comfort in that such display is reserved for sensual bonding
and culminated in the exchange of a most slippery kind
