Valiant Hearts (Inspired from the game with the same name)

(Soft guitar, drums, and bass throughout song)
V1: Our hearts are pure,
We didn't want this war.
What we wanted to do,
Is live our lives through and through.
We were forced from our farms,
And had to pick up arms.
This isn't me,
Not what I wanted to be.

Chorus: (Choir singing) Valiant Hearts (4X)

V2: So many people dead,
We can't go to bed.
Wives lost by bombs
Fathers forced to create them.
Separated from wives and sons,
Fiery smoke blocked out the sun.
Forced to fight to see our family,
That we will never live to see.

Chorus: (Choir singing)
Valiant Hearts we rise,
Valiant Hearts hear our cries,
Valiant Hearts we sigh,
Valiant Hearts good friends die.

V3: Wooden crosses for every life
Lost names in time.
Many Fathers and Brothers lie here,
Wooden crosses survive the years.
Flowers now grow there,
They rise from our fallen tears.
Now we sleep in this guilt filled air.
Passed out from all the beers.
We learned how to sleep with these sins,
But peacefully, never again.

Chorus: Valiant Hearts we rise,
Valiant Hearts hear our cries,
Valiant Hearts we sigh,
Valiant Hearts good friends die.
(Repeat chorus 2X)
