Clouds and Cars
I take the city streets like Clouds to sky
Ungodly perishing I bring myself
Never beginning but still passing by
Relapse of conscience dictates idyll health
My shame derides better things on my path
So this I speak and so it will become
For now I only dream on my behalf
Of satisfaction logic has undone
I’m maddened; rays of sunlight mock my range
A rampant joy among the cars all stalled
In idle pleasantry, the sky cloud-stained
Like motive and purpose both so appalled
Rain’s failure in reprise must be conquest
For clearing traffic fearing all the less.
