The Ghost in The Window
I walk past your house every night
Just to see if the lights are on
The air chills my bones as i stand in the snow
You'll never know that i still care
That the only way to bring me peace
Is to see that you're alright
So I'll be the ghost in your window
Silent and watching
Leaving roses on the ledge
Outside of your house
I'll be the ghost in your window
Silent and loving
Leaving kisses on the glass
I walk past your house every night
Just to see if his car is gone
Every rose mistaken as his heart in your hands
While mine remains offered
Held in timid, trembling fingers
I'll remain as the ghost in your window
Silent and watching
Leaving roses on the ledge
Outside of your house
I'll be the ghost in your window
Silent and loving
Leaving a heart made of glass
Just to see if the lights are on
The air chills my bones as i stand in the snow
You'll never know that i still care
That the only way to bring me peace
Is to see that you're alright
So I'll be the ghost in your window
Silent and watching
Leaving roses on the ledge
Outside of your house
I'll be the ghost in your window
Silent and loving
Leaving kisses on the glass
I walk past your house every night
Just to see if his car is gone
Every rose mistaken as his heart in your hands
While mine remains offered
Held in timid, trembling fingers
I'll remain as the ghost in your window
Silent and watching
Leaving roses on the ledge
Outside of your house
I'll be the ghost in your window
Silent and loving
Leaving a heart made of glass
